Ares Apartment – The Flame of Town

Initially booked Ares but got offered alternative accommodations in the same building for the same price because of unexpected maintenance in Ares. Excellent communication from host. Got travel pillows as a gift, which was a nice personal touch. Great location, clean rooms and all necessary things were provided.

A spacious and very quiet house, very clean and well-conditioned. It is very well located and walkable to all the sights of Southampton. We only missed a little more food in the kitchen but the rest was perfect. Ok, there is a surcharge for "early check-in" even if it is only one hour before the set time. In our case, bringing children and many suitcases were worth it.

the detailed communication beforehand made it easy to find and check in. questions were promptly answered in the period up to our visit. the apartment was clean and comfortable. basics in the kitchen like tea was supplied.

Super location, clean, well decorated and large space for the price. Only thing missing is a sofa or something to lounge on as the dinning room chairs after a few hours were not so comfy! The free gift on the beds was a bonus and appreciated! Contact with host was great.

Location was just what we needed and the arrival instructions provided by the owner which included pictures was extremely helpful and accurate. Overall a lovely apartment with easy access to the marina, boat show, surrounding restaurants and handy coop across the road.

we enjoyed Nick's place. pos: close to everything (mall, supermarket, port, train, park..), kitchen well equipped, spacious toilet and shower. cons: noisy compressor from groud level store very noisy 24h/d. miniscule refrigerator with broken door botle support. Was missing clothes drier which Nick supplied the next day. overall, we do recommend Nick's place for shory / medium length stays but an upgrade of refrigerator size is a must. Thanks Nick for everything!

The place is close to city centre , well connected and with very good amenities. The flat is spacious, well ventilated and extremely well maintained. In nutshell, it was most comfortable stay.

The apartment was well-situated in the centre of town with easy access to supermarkets and West Quay. While the apartment was generally quite clean, there were some hairs on the bedding when I arrived. There were also several insects during my stay. Otherwise, it’s great value for money.

Rose the host was so helpful from the start till the end . The location is the best and also the facilities as well . All the shopping area is so close just a little walking. Name the Food you want to eat and find it on the high street . it has the camera in the property which made me feel more secure as well . Its the best when travelling. 😊

Really spacious, clean and tidy apartment. Nick and Rose-Ghen are always great at communication. I thought the instructions were nice and clear last time we stayed at one of their places, but now they’ve added a video which made it even easier. Honestly can’t fault them or their places. Just a short walk to parking and the city centre. We’ve stayed at their apartments several times and will always continue to do so when we visit Southampton.

Apartment was immaculate. Central location on High St meant easy to explore Southampton and close to all shops and restaurants, but was set back slightly from the road which meant not too noisy. Hosts were easy to deal with, replied promptly to any queries, and the remote check-in and out process was really easy to follow. Locked entrance hallway was only shared with one other flat so felt safe.

Laid out well, well equipped and only 5 minute walk from the train station works so perfectly for us. Sofa bed was even set up ready for us prior to arrival so my daughter could crash straight away. Very cozy, well furnished and very clean apartment in the old town / center of Southampton. Everything you need. The sofa bed for the third person is a bit hard and uncomfortable, but OK for a few nights. Good, clear directions to the listing with photos. Walking distance to the bus station and trains to explore the wider area, e.g. Stonehenge in Salisbury.

All was good and as described, great communication. I’m not a complainer but a couple of things could be improved I feel. Nowhere to hang things. Even a hook or two would help. The pillows and duvet were very thin, tired poor quality. Finally I felt having to trek round the building with my rubbish a bit much. Never had to do that before. Easy things to make the experience more positive. Thank you. 👍

Great place to stay. Felt right at home. Nicks instructions to get into the place are clear and precise and all the photos matched the place. Extremely close to the town centre, with plenty of restaurants and night life close enough to walk to but far enough to have a peaceful nights sleep. Definitely would stay here again when i'm next in town. Felt safe leaving my belongings in the home. Worth the price paid.

Communication with Nick was clear, concise and frequent. The apartment was clean, tidy and as described. It was in a central location, close to West Quay and within walking distance of many of the amenities Southampton has to offer. In all honesty we would stay with Nick again should we need somewhere to stay in Southampton.

The flat is super comfortable, spacious, has everything necessary for a pleasant stay. The kitchen is very complete, it even has a washing machine and dryer! Perfect location, on High street, just a few minutes walk to the supermarket, pharmacies, cafes, restaurants, mall, everything you need. I had already stayed in another flat from this company and really liked it, but the Zeus flat exceeded my expectations, I loved it. Checkin very easy.

it was my partner and i’s first time in southampton for a weekend away and nicks place was perfectly located & walkable distances from so much in the city centre! only kind of annoyance was checking in. as we were about to check in there was no key in the lockbox due to it being misplaced by someone else in the flats, it was a huge delay for our plans we had booked. however nick responded extremely quickly and managed to sort it out! very grateful, but yes overall good price and really enjoyed our stay

The apartment was right near the town centre with really good public transportation. Even though you can walk to most of the attractions from the apartment. The apartment looks exactly like the picture and Nick and Rose both gave us very detailed and clear instructions to check in and out. They even set up the sofa-bed prior to our arrival and the apartment had all the mentioned amenities. The stay was lovely and I recommend this place if you are thinking of staying in Southampton.

Nick is a great host and was very helpful in communicating with us. The flat is right on the high street with easy access. Couple of minor cons: Hallway light is on a sensor rather than a light switch (unless we missed it). Moving from the bedroom to the living room gets a tad annoying after a while with on/off lights every 2 secs Wifi wasnt great (1.5mbs), but only really matters if you plan on spending time in the flat. Main bedroom has a locked door with what sounds like an air conditioner behind it, makes for some minor background noise. For the price and ease of access the flat was exactly what we needed for the weekend. Thankyou again Nick!

I'll start from the beginning. It looked like a scam, it looks like I was going to lose my money, but IT WAS THE BEST HOLIDAY IN THE WORLD! Immediate collection of the keys, I was given codes to take the keys locked in a safe, the house was beautiful, super comfortable, 3 of us had a wonderful time there, and the location was strategic, we were in the center of Southampton! Amazing and Nick was super reassuring in calming me down and telling me everything was going to be okay! Incredible indeed

The property is located in the centre of town . Close to west quay shopping and the main high street shops . 15-20 minutes walk from train station. (Google maps will send you to the postcode area . Top tip head to the end of high street , it’s between the Lidl and whether spoons on the opposite side ) The property was bright and spacious , bigger than I thought it would be , plenty of space .
